About this Art:
This is Charlie Russell and his fiancé and wife to be, Nancy. The scene takes place in Cascade, Montana which is a little west of Great Falls. He gave his horse Monte, which is the pinto, to her instead of an engagement ring because he couldn't afford the ring. He had the horse and it was his favorite horse so it meant a lot to give her that horse. It was an Indian Pony, or in another words, it had been owned by Native Americans since it was a colt.
