About this Art:
This spot is on the Diamond Tail Ranch in Colorado, at the headwaters of the Laramie River, which flows east into Wyoming. Buffalo skulls are extremely hard to find nowadays. There used to be thousands of them. You’d find them all over the place in the late 1800’s, but it’s very, very rare to find one now. This painting depicts some riders who have come across a buffalo skull out in the hills.
