About this Art:
Here I was trying to paint my feelings of happiness and relief that I feel after a storm in the mountains. There are many dangers of storms in the mountains. The wind is very dangerous - trees get knocked over, horses can lose their balance if they're hit with a gust on a narrow trail, etc. The trails become slick posing another risk to the horses of slipping and falling. The lightning can kill, and it's not always a happy ending. Sometimes flash floods happen and people get trapped or drown. After all of these worries that happen in the mountains under those circumstances, it is a happy day when the storm breaks. The sun comes out, life is good again, and it's beautiful.
